Delavega Upholstered Furniture Operation and Care Instructions

If you are assembling the product yourself:

Carefully remove the product from its packaging. Avoid using sharp objects when removing protective wrapping.
Check the completeness of all parts and ensure there is no mechanical damage.
During packaging and long-term transportation, slight indentations or folds in soft elements may appear. After light hand smoothing, they will disappear over time. This is a natural characteristic of products containing polyurethane foam.
If any defects are found, contact us — we will provide a solution.

1. Product Purpose

  • Our upholstered furniture is made using solid beech, birch plywood, bolted joints, and wooden or metal legs. All materials are safe and designed for long service life with proper use.
  • Products are intended for installation and use only indoors in dry residential or public spaces.

2. Placement Conditions

  • Place furniture on a flat, horizontal surface with even load distribution on all support points.
  • Keep at least 1 meter away from radiators, fireplaces, fan heaters, and other heat sources.
  • Do not place furniture flush against damp or cold walls.
  • Recommended indoor conditions: temperature from +10 to +25 °C, humidity — 60–70%.
  • Direct sunlight may cause upholstery and wooden parts to fade — position furniture in shaded areas.

3. Safe Use Rules

  • Use the furniture only for its intended purpose — sitting, relaxing, or storing designated items.
  • Do not stand or jump on the product, and do not sit on armrests or backs.
  • For items with a transformation (folding) mechanism, operate it smoothly without jerks.
  • For sofa beds, unfold them into the sleeping position at least once a month for 8 hours to prevent deformation of the filling.
  • When moving furniture, lift it slightly — dragging it across the floor may damage both the product and the flooring.
  • Metal legs can leave dents or scratches on delicate floors — use protective pads.
  • Do not stand on the assembled product without a mattress; load on curved, glued slats (lamellae) must be evenly distributed.

Bed Lift Mechanism Use:

  • Raise and lower the bed base smoothly, avoiding sharp movements.
  • Do not exceed the permissible load — the total weight of the mattress and bedding must comply with specifications.
  • Before lifting or lowering, ensure that no people or objects are within the mechanism’s range.
  • Do not overload the storage compartment and place items evenly.

4. Furniture Care

  • Wooden and plywood elements
  • Protect from impacts, moisture, hot objects, and sharp edges.
  • If liquid spills, wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Metal parts

  • Avoid abrasive cleaners and metal brushes.
  • Wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain shine.

Fabric upholstery

  • Vacuum regularly using a soft nozzle or clean with a soft brush.
  • For stains, use special upholstery cleaners, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Do not wash removable covers — dry clean only.

Leather and suede upholstery

  • Protect from sunlight, high temperatures, and household chemicals.
  • Remove dust with a soft cloth or brush without heavy rubbing.
  • Use specialized creams and balms.

Glass surfaces

  • Clean with special glass cleaners.
  • Do not use products containing abrasive substances.

5. Avoid

  • Placing hot dishes or irons on the surface.
  • Contact with acids, alkalis, oils, acetone, and solvents.
  • Prolonged exposure to water or steam.
  • Abrasive cleaners and hard sponges.
  • Always test cleaning agents on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.

6. Maintenance

  • Every few months, check bolted connections and tighten if necessary.
  • If squeaks or looseness appear, eliminate the cause promptly.

7. Moving and Transporting

  • Furniture can be transported and assembled, but remove all items from it first.
  • Lift and move by holding strong lower parts of the frame.

8. Warranty

Following these rules will help maintain the appearance and durability of your furniture for many years. Failure to follow them, resulting in damage, is grounds for denial of warranty service.

9. Ecology and Recycling

All materials are safe and recyclable. At the end of service life, take wooden, metal, and fabric elements to appropriate recycling points.

Thank you for choosing our furniture!

Follow these simple rules, and it will serve you for years, keeping its comfort and original appearance.
